The Inexus Group has a clear focus on where we derive value and that is from the ownership and long-term use of energy assets. Metropolitan applies this proven model to the low carbon energy market, extending ownership of assets to district heating mains on larger developments, integrated with micro-technologies on smaller projects (including ground source heat pumps and photovoltaics).
Wherever possible these assets are open access and the tariffs that we can charge energy suppliers for use of the asset are regulated. We are guaranteed to charge no more than the traditional utility companies, providing peace of mind for end customers. As we are focused on asset ownership and are much more efficient than the traditional companies, we can create value through the long-term use of our assets and use this to invest in our infrastructure. This clear focus on where we take value means that you benefit from all of the remaining value streams. We will establish a managed ESCO, enabling you to benefit from the on-going sale of heat, cooling and generated electricity. The model also provides the lowest cost for construction as we take no profit on this activity.
